Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on November 30, 2025.
At Royal Canadian Legion Branch 30, we are dedicated to making our website accessible to individuals with disabilities. We believe in access to knowledge, no matter what sort of physical barrier a user may have. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure that our website is accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the web. More specifically, web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the web, and that they can contribute to the web. Web accessibility also benefits others, including older people with changing abilities due to aging.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have designed this site with accessibility in mind, following WCAG 2.2 guidelines. We have made the site accessible to a level of AA . Our efforts include ensuring compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. Additionally, we have:

Use the Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential accessibility issues:

Ensured the site's language is clearly defined

Organized the content to ensure logical reading order

Established clear heading structures on all pages

Provided descriptive text for images

Implemented color combinations that meet required contrast ratios

Minimized the use of motion on the site

Ensured all multimedia content is accessible

The accessibility of certain items and pages on the site may be affected by content that does not belong to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 30, and instead belongs to a third-party. In such cases, we declare partial compliance with the standard for third party content.
