Our local Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 30, Port Hope just awarded $7,000 of bursaries equally to seven deserving students set to continue their academic future at various post-secondary institutions, including $5,000 donated to Veteran families from the Branch 30 Poppy Trust Fund, $1,000 from General Branch 30 funds and $1,000 from our Branch 30 Ladies Auxiliary.
Presenting the bursary awards are Branch 30 Bursary Chair, Paul Strybosch and Branch 30 Ladies Auxiliary President Pat Honey.We wish all seven students the very best as they pursue their future education and resulting careers.

Ladies Auxiliary 70th Anniversary
On May 23rd the Ladies Auxiliary celebrated our 70th Anniversary. The event included local dignitaries, a provincial officer, other auxiliaries and special guests. We all had a good night with great company and a great meal.

The Royal Canadian Legion's 100th Anniversary Celebration took place on June 20, 2026 at Branch 30 and the day was fantastic! The weather was great, the bands were great, all the memorabilia was great, the food was great. A lot of people were visiting with people they hadn't seen in years. Thank you to everyone that made it a success! As one of the first Canadian Branches established, next year will be Branch 30, Port Hope’s 100th anniversary. Preparations are already underway for that 2027 Celebration!

Highway of Heroes Annual Cleanup - April 23, 2026
Thanks to Comrade Paul Strybosch who again organized a Branch 30 crew to assist with the 2026 Highway of Heroes clean-up.
