Remembrance Day 2025

Branch 30 of the Royal Canadian Legion would like to thank the community of Port Hope for the out pouring of support for this years ceremony at the cenotaph.  Thanks go out to City Administration, the PH Police and Fire  Departments, for their support and assistance with the ceremony, and the accommodation of 450 THS  landing.  The ceremony had record attendance with the laying of 69 wreaths.  The members dinner held in the evening had 120 in attendance.  Again thank you Port Hope!

Thank you for supporting our Poppy Campaign

The Royal Canadian Legion, Brigadier General G.H. Ralston Branch 30, Port Hope would like to provide a sincere thank you to the community of Port Hope for your generosity and support during the 2025 Poppy Campaign and Remembrance Day Events.

 

Many thanks to our businesses who allowed Poppy trays in their place of business or allowed our canvassers to access their premises. Many thanks to all who purchased wreaths and/or participated in our Remembrance Day service or donated to Branch 30.

 

And thank you to all who wore the Poppy during the campaign to recognize, remember and honour our Veterans, serving military and their families and the fallen, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country.

 

Lest We Forget.

 

Your support will enable Branch 30, Port Hope in its continued support of Veterans and their families. Poppy Trust Funds are held in trust for prescribed purposes under Royal Canadian Legion Bylaws, including direct aid, mental health and transition support, homelessness prevention and support, care facilities and equipment, and educational bursaries for Veteran children and grandchildren.

 

We will remember them.
